Arsenicum is prepared homeopathically from arsenic.

Arsenic is a notorious poison, which causes its victims to die in terrible agony with violent vomiting and diarrhea, burning pains, stomach cramps, and great thirst for cold water.

Collapse follows.

Mental agony is present including great periods of anxiety and terror, an understandable fear of death and the need for human support.

When prepared Homeopathically, Arsenicum is completely safe to use on any of the above listed complaints.

Food poisoning and flues respond quickly to Arsenicum.

Arsenicum is especially useful for ailments of the gastrointestinal tract, such as vomiting and diarrhea; the respiratory tract, where there is shortness of breath, as in asthma, head colds and hay fever.

Homeopathic remedies are fun to use because the body responds within minutes establishing ease and reducing the intensity of symptoms, creating a nice base for healing to begin.

If all beginning symptoms have not eased follow with a third dose, 30 minutes after the second dose.

Following doses are only repeated as symptoms return.

When healing, the body will continue to give signs of greater ease.

There will be less intensity attached to your symptoms.

Dosing will be needed less often.

Homeopathic remedies are natural and work quickly to establish a healing environment for your body.

Homeopathic remedies will not interfere with pharmaceutical drugs and are safe for all ages.

In the first week of treatment, a change to sleep becoming more restful must be noticed.

Longer hours of consistent sleep without waking. Less need to get up to use the bathroom.

In order to heal the body must regain its strength.

Each night your body will be giving you signs that this is taking place.

For instance, if falling asleep always took an hour or more, you want to be noticing that now it is only taking 1/2 hour or less and that one or two nights you were able to go right to sleep.

Each week this scenario will be changing for the better, until each night the body is able to go directly to sleep and sleep through the night and wake feeling refreshed.

This is the most important avenue to health.

As your body continues to have a good night sleep, you will be able to notice that you are not as tired through the day.

This increase in energy will continue through your healing.

As your body regains stamina, you will be noticing that your symptoms will be less intense.

These are the first signs of healing.

These changes in sleep and stamina must begin in the first week of treatment

You first appointment will take approximately 45 minutes.

In this period of time I will be gathering information on your health history.

When was the last time you remember feeling well?

Have their been any shocks in your life that may have contributed to ill health?

What is your sleep like? Are there times waking through the night, restlessness or temperature changes while sleeping?

In the morning, are you waking feeling refreshed?
Is there consistent energy through the day?
If there is tiredness through the day what times does it occur or is consistent tiredness?

What is the state of hunger?
After eating, is the body satisfied or does hunger continue?

Are there any digestion disturbances, heartburn, gurgling, burping? When do they occur and how often are they present?

Are there foods that are not tolerated and what is the body’s reaction?

What is the general mental/emotional state?

Are there headaches? When and where do they occur? How long do they last? Are there symptoms that occur with the headaches?

Any sinus issues? Times of year they occur and the description of their manifestation.

Itching, watery, painful or bloodshot eyes?

Sounds or pain in the ears, and description?

Any issues with the mouth, unusual tastes or lack of. Mouth ulcers, teeth problems.

What is the general condition of the skin? Are there areas that are dry, itching, flaking, discolored, raw or bleeding? If so what times of year do they manifest? Are there times of the day when they are worse?

Are there bowel or bladder disturbances?

What is the menstrual cycle like?

Aches and pains and their location and description.

Is swelling present? Are there times of the day when the swelling is worse?

Which tend to improve symptoms, warm or cold applications?

Are there areas of excessive perspiration?

Does numbness occur anywhere and how easily does it occur? How long does it last?

These questions reveal the whole picture of illness.
When a remedy is chosen the whole body will begin healing at the same time.

Homeopathy is a holistic therapy, meaning that it treats the whole body at one time.

Specializing in one area of the body is the approach of modern medicine. There are heart specialists, eye, ear, nose, throat doctors; skin specialists, foot doctors and many more.

Ailments occurring in separate parts of the body are viewed as separate conditions whose weaknesses are not interrelated.

In Homeopathy, all the ailments of the body are interconnected and all the weaknesses are interrelated.

Sleep, energy through the day, skin, bowel, digestion, head, nose, joint issues, mental, emotional, the whole body must be running with ease.

Any part of the body that is not running with ease is considered a symptom, not just the main complaint of the client.

Each symptom is viewed like a puzzle piece, a picture in part.

When all the pieces are together they form a whole picture.

A Homeopath is ALWAYS looking for ‘the whole picture’ of illness.

All the pieces together.

Then, once the Homeopath has this whole picture of all the symptoms occurring, the correct Homeopathic remedy can be chosen and healing begins.

How is the correct remedy chosen?

Each Homeopathic remedy has its  ‘own’ whole symptom picture.  The remedy with the most similar symptom picture to that of the clients will be the correct remedy. The  ‘like‘ will be treating the ‘like’.

What is the basis of Homeopathy?

Let ‘like‘ be treated with ‘like‘. This is the basis of Homeopathy.

The word ‘Homeopathy’ was coined from two Greek words;

homeo meaning similar and pathos, meaning suffering.

Homeopathy means ’similar suffering’.

The remedy most similar to that of the clients whole symptom picture will be the correct remedy to stimulate the body into a healing state.

How much medicine is given?

The amount of medicine needed to stimulate the body into a place of healing is minute! So very small of an amount that it is not detectable with a microscope! Yet this tiny amount is all the body requires. Just a  ‘little’ bit of a like substance and the body is on its way to healing.

What form is the medicine and how often is it taken?

Small sugar and lactose balls are sprayed with the remedy.

Three to six of these balls  are dissolved in the mouth every two to four to six hours  depending on the body’s’ need.

How long will I be taking the Homeopathic remedy?

Each week your body will be feeling stronger and symptoms will be less intense and occurring less often.

As your body heals the need for the Homeopathic remedy will be diminishing as well.

Aconitum Napellus, common name is monkshood . It is referred to often in its abbreviated form in Homeopathy as Aconite.

This beautiful cluster of violet-blue flowers arranged like a monk’s cowl is one of the most poisonous of plants.

Homeopathy has a unique way of turning even this most toxic of substances into a harmless but powerful remedy.

The Homeopathic remedy Aconite is prepared using the whole plant and root when beginning to flower.

Almost everything about this remedy is sudden and violent.

So it is used to treat any symptom that comes on suddenly.

Symptoms that come on suddenly are usually accompanied with terror, fear, or extreme anxiety, and will be well addressed by Aconite.

Pains can take the form of intense burning or tingling. There can be a hot bursting headache, a sudden high temperature, a red face, sensitivity to light, noise, or touch.

All of these can be part of the picture when Aconite is needed.

Aconite can also be used for shock and the effects of shock, even years after the event.

For more information on the use and treatment with Aconite, please refer to the categories titled, ‘Emergency Care’ and ‘Emergency Remedies’.

Arnica Montana also known as ‘the Mountain Daisy’, or ‘Leopard’s bane’ is a perennial herb that grows in cool, damp, mountainous areas all over the world.

The Homeopathic remedy Arnica is prepared from the whole fresh plant and root.

Known as the “Accident Remedy”, Arnica is the first remedy to use in all cases of trauma or shock.

Mental shock, emotional shock, physical falls or bruising, swelling due to injuries, concussions, contusions are all part of the pictire of this fabulous remedy.

Arnica should always be the first remedy to use whenver an emergency situation occurs.

Arnica immediately produces calm in the system. Will keep black and blue from occurring, will relieve the thumping pain from a bruise, will keep swelling down so injuries can heal faster, will relieve a ‘feeling’ of being bruised, will revive after a lack of sleep, or mental exertion.

Once you experience its use you will never want to be without it!

For further information on Arnica and directions on treatment, refer to the categories Emergency Care and Emergency remedies.
